Rich in cultures, vibrant in growth.

The ever growing Collingwood community is one of the earliest developed neighbourhood’s in east Vancouver. It’s a family oriented area of the city where English, Vietnamese, Filipino and Chinese languages represent Canada’s remarkable cultural mosaic.

Attractive to growing families, the Collingwood neighbourhood includes five elementary schools as part of the Vancouver School Board. Killarney Secondary School and the main campus of BCIT in Burnaby are close-by.

Collingwood on the Burnaby border is located with Boundary Road to the east, 29th Avenue to the north, Nanaimo Street on the west and 41st Avenue to the south.

Traditionally Collingwood has been a neighbourhood with mainly single family homes. In the past decade, tremendous growth has come to the area with a large increase in density. Collingwood Village completed in 2006 with 16 condo and rental buildings, is an excellent example of transit oriented development. Wall Centre Central Project, a series of 3 condominium towers planned for the neighbourhood, will feature green rooftoops, community gardens and easy transit access. In addition, a new tower from Westbank is proposed for the corner of Joyce & Vaness.

…Collingwood dining continues to attract more and more Vancouver residents

Collingwood Neighbourhood House with its First Nations’ totems on display, is a popular destination for music, dance, arts, gardening and food oriented activities. Close by is Central Park in Burnaby with Swangard Stadium and a popular pitch and putt. In addition, the ice arena at Killarney Park is a short commute away.
